I've Known You
I’ve known you since my day of birth,
(perhaps a few months more).
There are lots of nice things I could tell,
(but I refuse to bore).
(There’s much more I could say.)
But I can only think of one. . .
It’s Happy Mother’s Day!

If I Could Choose
If I could choose a mother,
I’d choose a mom who’s fun,
Who likes to take me shopping
And won’t stop till we’re done.
I’d choose a mom who listens
When I have things to say,
Who when she sees I’m troubled
Will make the time to stay.
It’s not about baked cookies
(though those are good, it’s true!)
If I could pick and choose a mom,
You know that I’d
Happy Mother’s Day!

Zanzibar
My mother went to Zanzibar
To get a cup of tea.
The trip cost seven grand (or more).
The cup of tea was free.
My mother went to Timbuktu
To pass an afternoon or two.
She paused a bit to write a poem,
Then took the quickest shuttle home.
My mother went to Tennessee
To take a southern shopping spree.
She had such fun; I know it’s true.
I tagged along, went shopping too!
My mother went to Kankakee,
This time around invited me.
We both wore filmy floaty clothes.
My mom has fun – and on she goes.
Funny Mothers Day Poem #4
I wrote the subsequent humorous mother's poem about one hundred years in the past (provide or take seventy-5 years) while my kids had been younger and pissed off with the quantity of time I spent on the smartphone. Please also be aware the ancient "transportable" telephone.Funny Mothers Day Poems

My Mother's On the Phone Again!
My mother's on the phone again.
It makes my mood grow sour,
Waiting for the talk to stop. . .
I think it's been an hour.
My mother's on the phone again.
Will she get off? No way!
It's either Gramma or Aunt Kit. . . .
I think it's been a day.
My mother's on the phone again.
I talk, but she won’t hear.
She said, "Just one more minute, Hon'." . . .
I think it's been a year.
She hangs it up, gives me a hug.
We start to talk and then . . .
I hear a ring. It's not . . .
Oh, no! She's on the phone again!

I love this type of scheme!) Here is the first of the funny poems.
Very Funny Poems
From your moment of birth
Through your time on this earth
Your feelings of mirth
Make you happy.
It rarely costs money
To read something funny,
Clever or punny,
Or happy.
So, go ahead...laugh
About thing you find daff
Watching someone's odd gaff
All in rhyme.
Enjoy a quick read
At your own special speed.
Funny's just what you need
Every time!

Funny Mothers Day Poem #6
Why do I write funny poems? The truth? It's a compulsion. I've attempted to forestall and life simply is not quite as a good deal a laugh. Many of my poems were in books. In fact, you will see ads for my books on this website. They've also been in anthologies, textbooks around the globe, and in standardized checks.
Funny Mothers Day Poem
That is all well and appropriate (and truthfully, a LOT of amusing for me!) but with this net website I get to share all of the poems I like, whether or no longer they've been posted elsewhere. Today I get to percentage my very funny poems with you!Funny Mothers Day Poems
Not simplest that, I've been indulging myself and illustrating some of the poems myself. Look for the DAR beneath an instance to see which are by 'moi.' I actually have an incredible time drawing, and I've discovered that I'm pretty capable of as a minimum a touch greater than stick figures. The creative process is relatively one-of-a-kind among a poem and a drawing. But the identical sense of innovative pride is the give up the end result of both. I propose writing poetry, developing drawings, making sculptures, writing novels...Something makes your innovative inner-child satisfied!

Sonnets are full of love, and this my tome
Has many sonnets: so here now shall be
One sonnet more, a love sonnet, from me
To her whose heart is my heart’s quiet home,
To my first Love, my Mother, on whose knee
I learned love-lore that is not troublesome;
Whose service is my special dignity,
And she my loadstar while I go and come
And so because you love me, and because
I love you, Mother, I have woven a wreath
Of rhymes wherewith to crown your honored name:
In you not fourscore years can dim the flame
Of love, whose blessed glow transcends the laws
Of time and change and mortal life and death.
