And dressed me and taught me to talk,
You guided my faltering, hesitant steps
When I first started out getting to know to walk.
And then got here the day I started to high school,
When you found out how speedy I had grown,
And you told me what first-rate amusing it might be--
Then watched as I skipped off, on my own.
You make all of the days of my youth so gay,
So full of contentment and a laugh.
That the reminiscence I have of my growing-up years
Is a cherished an extraordinary one.
And then, after I commenced to be on my own,
You supplied a certain, guiding hand,
Whenever I needed a listening ear,
I knew then which you'd apprehend--
For all your thoughtfulness, all your love,
Your persistence and gentleness, too,
I'm thankful--for I actually have an extremely good treasure--
A sweet, cute mom such as you!
